Since, these days, we are a consultancy, design and delivery service, we only use the best equipment and the latest technology — but gear is only ever part of the story. What really matters is people: trust, clear communication, and staying calm when something unexpected happens on the day.

Every single person we bring onto a project is chosen for more than technical skill. Reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine sense of responsibility to the client and the event matter just as much as knowing your way around a PA system. We work well under pressure, whether that's the demands of a major touring production or the precision expected at a formal corporate event.

Value and ethics are also fundamentally important to us. We never aim to be the cheapest deal on the table. But we do aim to be the best value, while never skimping on quality. We aim for every project to over deliver, and we never short staff an event. You need security, you need to know that the delivery of your project will happen flawlessly, no matter what occurrences arise. This can only ever be achieved if the staffing levels are correct. Examples of this include, moving a festival’s entire main stage production from the outdoor stage into a giant marquee, due to sudden weather conditions, and yet starting on time; Or for an event where custom truss had been designed and manufactured, discovering that the marquee had been built one foot narrower than the plans, we had a replacement, custom manufactured truss piece, with tolerances to the millimetre, into manufacture, onto a courier van and delivered to site within hours, allowing the schedule to be maintained, and a successful, on-time event.

We are agile, conscientious, and live by the “can do” attitude that something is only a problem, if it doesn’t have a solution.

We treat every client the same, whether it's your first event with us or your twentieth. Repeat clients are the backbone of our business, but we never take that relationship for granted — every event is its own test, and we approach it that way.

Since founding Audio Engineer Ltd in 2004, we've built our reputation on nearly two decades of hands-on experience across live sound, from touring with major artists to designing and specifying systems for venues and festivals.
